The Search for Submissions: A Few Guidelines
Tongue in Cheek is an online magazine publishing poetry, short fiction, creative nonfiction, graphic art, photography, and whatever else you creative types can dream up. Tongue in Cheek is looking for submissions that refuse to take themselves seriously, or demand to be taken lightly. We are mostly looking for works with a sense of humor. Bring on the silly and the sarcastic; Be bold, surprise us! That being said, we will not accept submissions of erotica or works featuring graphic violence or gore.
Length for prose: 3,000 words max. For poetry, submit 2-3 poems. As for submissions in other forms, such as art, photography, or video, we have no real guidelines! You are free to be as original and different as you like. Simply send us your work via e-mail, including your name and a short blurb about yourself. Payment is available in your choice of the following: high-fives, back-pats, handshakes, or platonic hugs.
Simultaneous submissions are not only completely fine, we encourage them! Just inform us immediately if your work is accepted for publication elsewhere. For anything we publish, ALL rights are retained by the author/creator. Our submission deadline is April 15, 2012.
Stay sassy,
Tongue in Cheek
